  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

After updating the software (map-n-soft) a couple iterations back, my 2015 no longer defaults to the media screen where I always leave it. Now it always starts up with my location on the map. Not what I want.

Just updated to the Apr. version and it's the same.

Is there any way to set the default screen other than the map? This worked fine up until the Dec.'21 update.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Yes, this is a new setting that one of the updates a year or three ago added. Just look through all the settings till you find one that says something like auto return to map, and set that to zero.

It was already set at off. I reset it to on. I'll give it a couple starts and then turn it back off to see it it resets.

Thanks.

Sure enough, a few days later and its back to starting with the map screen. Just called Map-n-soft and their phone rep is clueless and offered zero help. I'm so thankful that I paid $185 for the upgrade (then three months later it was free) and you could care less about helping.

Has anyone here ever tried reinstalling an earlier version software (without crashing the whole system)? I could care less about map upgrades. Just want the media screen up first, like it used to be.

AFAIK, there is no way to get it to load a lower version number, only newer versions. This is fairly standard practice.
