Map Screen Learning?

My Nav screen now shows "tracks" along the route of a new road that opened about a month ago near our home. When I first got the car in November, the area was completely blank on the map. Wife and I always laughed saying, "here we are - nowhere." But now there are tracks perfectly aligning where the road is. Is this remembering a destination -- or is it actually learning a road? Thoughts?

Sounds like it's just showing where you've driven before, which is a feature that you can enable or disable from one of the settings screens.

I'm not near my car right now to verify, but I believe you're seeing what's referred to as "waypoints". Think of them as Hansel's bread crumbs, little electronic droppings by your Genesis. I found them to be unnecessary, cluttering the screen, and turned them off using the "settings" control.
