After speaking with Map Soft today, I found out that you can not go by the date when trying to determine if you have the latest map version. I have a 2010 Genesis 4.6 map version 300.00.2009.08.2514. I was told that this is the latest version for my car and that there is no update. When I ask about the April and Sept 2010 version I was told that the date does not mean anything when determining the version. Version 300.00.2009.08.2514 date would be Aug. 2009 so my guess is that 300 or 2514 would be the important numbers in determing the version. None of it makes any sense.
 
Just a guess, but it may be like tires or car VIN number where each digit or combination of digits means something. Could be a combination of the year, month, week, and day.
