Second Generation Map Update

Have a 2015 Ultimate 3.8 RWD.

Got the newest map update from MapNSoft. It requires a thumbdrive to upload the software thru the USB port, and an SD card to be installed.

I followed the procedures and got an error--Map Validation Failed. I called MapNSoft this morning. They walked me through a "forced reboot" in order to get the system to fully read the SD card. Except their reboot procedure did nothing but upset the CD player (procedure was simultaneous push of FM/AM, Eject, and Map buttons). I called back and they have no idea, so they are sending it to engineering.

Has anyone else had this problem? I've had probably a dozen map updates in various Hyundais, but this is the first issue--it's like MapNSoft doesn't test their products or understand how the car operates...

I had the same issue. Got a call back from MapNSoft saying it was a problem across the board and they are asking that all of the updates be sent back. The sent me a return label and envelope.

Is the USB stick formated FAT32 and not NTFS ?

MNSoft called me Friday...said they are sending me a FedEx envelope to return the thumbdrive and SD card...apparently they test it on computers, not cars...thinking that may change now...
