  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Finally arrived! took 3 weeks to make it to me from Toronto, damn postal strike! Check out this first look at them, I'll post more with them installed once the car arrives tomorrow.

Initial impressions, really nice quality. great feel, really look worth every penny. These were free shipping in Canada and ended up being $60 less than the factory all weather mats Genesis was offering. The removable insert feels great, I think they use a recycled plastic material for it. Certainly will do the job trapping stuff in it. The rest looks like it'll wipe down nicely and they are designed for pretty much full wrap around coverage.

I went with the sport series as they have the straight line stitching which matches my dynamic better. For you quilted owners they have a diamond stich line as well. Lots of options, worth checking these things out!

First picture is how they arrived in their packaging, all bundled up nice and secure.

Tip for installation. They are a tight fit for obvious reasons but they have little swing out tabs that help tuck the mat tight to the trim in the car. I would suggest actually doing the back seat first and then the fronts, just makes it a bit easier. Also the whole footwell is covered in the rear so the carpet all the way up to the seat bottom and tucks under the lip of the seat cushion. You can just lightly pop the seat cushion up and it makes for an easier tuck in.

MatMetrics are amazing. Love them in my Sport, black/black quilted.

+1 on the mat metrics. the rears were actually easier to install than the fronts for me. the driver mat took some fidgeting. since i am 6MT i had to be careful since the first go interfered with my clutch pedal. after an adjustment it is better, but i do get a squeak when depressing the pedal which rubs against the mat. also i find the dead pedal isn't completely covered. but the quality of these mats is first rate.

OP - how did you get the mat next to the gas pedal to secure against the tunnel? was the provided double-sided Velcro enough? i may need to get more velcro because the mat does bubble out from the tunnel a bit.

Yeah I could see how the clutch could be a challenge and I agree I'd like something better to hold around the dead pedal. Worked OK in the end but a tab or double sided tape or something would be nice.

For by the gas pedal I just used the tabs that rotate out and go under the trim. Sneaked those under and have a little rug and it seated nicely out of the way, didn't get any velcro or the like. Maybe they updated it a bit?

hmm, i had the tabs which do a good job but next to the gas pedal the tunnel goes inboard a bit and the mat needs something to stick it against this indentation.
