  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi Team,

does this car have the matching down shift revs like the infiniti g35 etc?

Welcome aboard! Thank you for signing up.. Good question. I'm going to split this post out into it's own topic so that it gets more attention...

no, it does not have dual clutch, nor does it offer paddle shifters. It is a luxury Marquis. So I believe the XF Transmission may have been enough. What it does offer, is a close ratio and snappy shifting transmission in the dress of six speeds. what that helps to accomplish is 5.3 secs 0-60MPH. and an overall Governed speed of 160MPH-do you need to go that fast? The Hyundai brand has also been thoughtful to include a very simple and access easy shiftronic for the transmission which reacts for the driver just as it were a stick.

As bradyb mentioned, that type of control system is for a auto shift manual. The Genesis uses a torque converter and planetary gear based automatic transmission.

I think the OP is aware of the fact that the Genesis has a conventional automatic transmission. (He said "like the Infiniti G35")
Most newer automatics, when you choose a lower gear through manumatic controls(+/-), rev matches to avoid the jerkiness.

OP, I haven't used the manual shifting mode myself, so I can't answer that question, but my guess is yes, it'll most likely have that feature.

*P.S: Are you in Ann Arbor, MI by any chance? I think I saw your screen name in s2ki.com. :)
