  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

No Genesis Yet!
So a few weeks back I bought an Audi A4 allroad. I love wagon as I feel they offer practicality and are still fun to drive vs an suv. Now three weeks into ownership, I’ve come to the hard realization that I’m not comfortable in the seats (gives me terrible leg and back pain). I’ve tried all the settings, bought seat cushions (multiple). I can’t find a solution and at the money I spent on this car, i definitely am not enjoying it. So I’m back to looking. My two choices are the Kia stinger and the genesis G70.

Went and sat in the Kia and the seats are more to my liking. They’re a bit wider and seem more flat (I’m a big guy, 6’ 280lbs). I have yet to test drive it. Will do it this week. I’ve also set up a test drive for the g70.

I’m in Canada and here the g70 is quite a bit more expensive than the Kia. Similarly equipped you’re talking 12-15% price difference. Watching videos a lot of people seem to put the g70 ahead. In the USA the price is very similar. So here, the price difference will definitely factor more in the decision. But they have inventory of 2021 G70 which I find looks better than the 2022. And I’m always in for a good deal.

For those who cross-shop both, what tip the scale? Right now I see a lot of people complaining about the sunroof noise in the Kia. Don’t seem to have as many people complaining about it in the g70.

The G70 handles better, is a little bit faster, better build quality, has a nicer interior, classier looks (IMO) and here in the US, comes with 36 month/36,000 miles free maintenance. The only things the Stinger has going for it is it's larger, so more storage space, and some people (not me) prefer it's looks. The dealer "experience" is also much better with Genesis, from my experience. But, as you mentioned, pricing is similar here in the US. I recently purchased a 2021 3.3T, as I too preferred the looks to the 2022, and was able to get $6,000 off from MSRP. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I have a few friends with Stingers and of course I have a G70. I can tell you, I really like the Stinger. The interior of the GT2 (Canada) looks great to me with a real sporty interior look. The right exterior looks pretty good as well.

Stinger - Larger trunk/hatch, a little bit extra rear seat room, younger look?
G70 - Better handling, lighter, concierge service. Slightly better build quality? More mature look?

Overall I like the G70 but can't go wrong with either.
