Me being a dummy lol

My dummy self put the door without an exterior handle on childlock and I have no idea how to get it back open. Any suggestions? Also there's a lot more going on with my 09 genesis that's a safety concern, but first I'd like to solve the simplest one? Lol

Sounds like something I've done before, but not on this car. Whether this will stay "simplest" on your list probably depends on whether the interior door panel and trim are still in place?

Hopefully they are not, in which case you should be able to reinstall the exterior door handle with 3 screws.




You MIGHT be able to get the trim off with the door closed - there are no screws in the jambs fortunately, but the window surround might have to be sacrificed. Or save the part and headache and call a mobile mechanic or automotive locksmith.
