  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

just a word of caution....it appears our 5.0 motors make great nesting places for crappy worthless rodents.

opened my hood to fill the washer bottle. thought I'd take the little cover off the motor just to "look". a mouse or rat or something had eaten the foam surrounding the intake manifold on both sides and made himself a happy home.

could have been that way when I bought it. I never looked under the cosmetic engine cover. who would think to do that.

I was not happy to say the least. no telling how long it has been that way. doesn't seem to be hurting anything.

my car was the dealership owner's loaner, so could have happened at his house, the car lot, or at my house. no telling....no way to prove it. so I'm screwed on getting it fixed by them. I don't even want to know what that foam costs.....so since its running fine....screw it....its fine.

I will be throwing some rat poison on the top under the engine cover though. bastard rodents.
