In California we renew registration every 2 years, including smog. The last 2 years my 2015 Genesis running in perfect condition failed smog, had to take it to the
dealer where they do some secret hocus pocus and reset the smog, then it passes. Mind you, the car drives perfectly. Only now the MIL lamp came on about 2 months
ago, I have driven the car for the past two months without any problem--the MIL warning lamp is on. I have probably driven 800 miles. I am pretty sure this is just a technical
glitch having no effect on the car's performance. Anyone have this experience? For what it is worth, the gas cap seems ok but I have seen that cause this.
