Minneapolis area dealership?

I don't have a local dealer and Minneapolis is the closest area that has one. I'm doing the 2.5 hour drive this up coming week to test out a g70. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for dealer and salesman.

I purchased by Genesis from Walser Hyundai Brooklyn Park January 2009. My sales person was Nand Mehra. He was very good and actually knows a little about cars vs. most sales people do not. Last time I was at the dealer (a year or two ago?) he was still working there, although he may be the GM now rather than direct sales

If you end up swinging over there he may ask how you were referred to him. I was the dealerships first Genesis sale according to him, and I've said hi to Nand from time to time if I'm around the dealer.

I've used Bloomington Luther Genesis for our scheduled maintenance. They've been 'fine'. The dealership is a Hyundai dealership with a Genesis area off to one side. The waiting room is nothing great, but overall they perform the maintenance quickly while you wait. I can't comment on the concierge service, etc. as I live about 1.5 hours south of there in Rochester, and don't fancy the idea of a lot boy thrashing my vehicle for three hours round trip.

That being said, I would most likely avoid Morrie's Genesis in the Twin Cities. When Morrie Wagner still owned and ran the empire, it was pretty good all around. Since he sold it, I've not heard great things from any of the dealerships they possess.

Thanks for the feedback I'll stay away from morries for sure. I will stop by both so I have both negotiate with since neither are advertising any discounts so going to have work for it I think.

The only place I wouldn’t guarantee a perfect fit is going to be the rear faux pipes in your bumper. I have no idea what the bumper on a G80 3.3T has for exits, but when I had the exhaust crafted, I had it lined up with the inner tips of my rear valence.

I could get you a measurement of a G80 V8 rear left tip to right tip ‘on center’ and you could see how it will line up on your. You can also just swap out the ‘tip insert’ Genesis uses with the tips off of a G80 V8 if yours aren’t the same. They’re just a bolt in insert on the rear.
