Minor things, but help appreciated

Hello,

2011 4.6 with 55K miles. Bought it last Jan with 29K and it has been pretty solid. Three things bothering me I want to see if anyone has had success or solutions:

1. Sunroof "flexes"/"pops" when the frame of car is torqued (i.e. going over speed bump straight or angle, pulling in my driveway, shopping center parking lots which are uneven). Very consistent and noticeable. Can dealer fix this or will it cause more problems tinckering with it?

2. At start up and cold, after letting it idle for 30 sec to 1 min, there is a popping sound in the rear of the car when immediately when putting it reverse. Then, when I put it in Drive and pull forward a little applying the brakes, there is then a popping sound when I hit the brakes in the front. It does this once while cold, then goes away. Weird

3. Back-up camera seems to have a lot of static (horizontal lines) on the picture. Very bad a night. Also, when I crank up the car after sitting a while, I notice the display illumination is very weak, and then brightens after the car has been running a little...is this thing about the fail?

4. I paid $1350 for 100K mi bumper to bumper warranty.

1. You can try and have them adjust the sunroof tracks, which might be loose or binding. Was the car ever wrecked or had body work on the roof?

2. Sounds like it might be one or more worn sticky or control arm joints at each end. A good lube might temporarily fix this but if one or more is worn they need replacing. Also have the mechanic check to make sure all the suspension and brake caliper bolts are tight, brake pad springs are all present, and all the drive train u-joints are free of excess play.

3. The camera, connectors, and/or the wire to the head unit is/are bad. Replace parts until the problem goes away.

4. A wise choice. You'll be using it.

There is a TSB which installs a spacer in the drive shaft which in turn will stop the snapping when going from forward to rearward and vice versa. See your dealer for a free fix.

Man, I hate going to my dealership. Always want to upsell me on something. I love how one lady service writer recommends a coolant flush everytime I get an oil changed. I asked her to show me where in the owners manual the coolant should be flushed before 100Kmi, and she just says the owners manual has changed.

I will take the car in a few weeks for an oil change and address some of these items with them...and report back.

1. There are torx screws in the mounting for the sunroof . Dealer should be able to fix it.

2. The popping in reverse is the emergency brake shoes most likely. use the emergency brakes a few times and that may help loosen them a bit.

3. Have your battery checked and connections in the trunk checked, check battery ground wire to trunk floor for tightness. Camera should be clear during day but with low light the image degrades as with all video cameras.
