  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have 122,000 miles on this genesis and was driving it and the engine light came on right after there was a exhaust rumble when i floored it due to the lack of power so i get the code read and it gives me misfire on bank 4 I order a new coil and plug for it and it now it runs like crap again but its not throwing any codes check other plugs and they are not fouled. any ideals on why this could be happening? what could possibly be the fix?

Honestly sounds like what I went through when my catalytic converter was getting plugged up. There was way too much back pressure (exhaust couldn't flow to the tail pipe) so it was building up pressure and releasing through all the joints along the exhaust from the manifold to the cat.
At the time I had no CEL though. I removed the front 02 sensor and all the power came back. Replaced the cat and the car was good again.
It wasn't my Genesis but the systems are the same regarding exhaust and blocked cats. Might want to check that.
