Hello i recently bought my first genesis 4.6. First time ever looking into this platform and im getting misfire codes. Car has 141k miles in good condition. Cant say much about the history on the car but what i was told from previous owner is cyl 1 ignition coil blew up. Not sure what he meant exactly but i changed out the coils and plug in that cyl just to see if the misfire would go away ( i do plan on changing them all was just testing it). Bought it with misfire on cyl 1 and cyl 5 bought a 4 pack of coils and changed them out cyl 5 misfire went away cyl 1 did not. I changed spark plug on cyl 1 and misfire is still there i also noticed when i disconected the coil pack on cyl 1 with the car on idle did not change. Keep in mind car had new coil in that cyl at the time. Im guessing it has something to do with the connector? Checked all injectors with a screwdriver and they all sound pretty equal. So my question is can i check the connector with a multimeter? And see if theres resistance? Or how can that be tested? Scanned the car again two days ago now got cyl 1 cyl 2 and random misfire. Like i said i will be changine out the plugs and coils id just like some advice ok what to do about cyl 1 since it missfired with new plug and coil. If i can test the connector with a multimeter please let me know ive never used a multimeter but i dont think itll be too complicated to figure out. Thanks.
