  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

A dreary Seahawk/Bears game on MNF last night (Sep17th,) I stayed around until the halftime report where I was surprised to see it was sponsored by Genesis. I was a bit tired and drifted in and out during the report. I DIDN'T see any Genesis car ads I was expecting to see something about the new G70. Did they show any cars or just keep saying it was the Genesis Halftime Report?

Yes in the beginning was a g70 driving around but that's about it.

With dealers reportedly having limited stock of G80's and G90's, maybe they're waiting until the US debut before doing anything on MNL EXCEPT displaying the brand name. IF they can't at least get a couple of 1 minute sales videos, why bother? There are several other things using the "Genesis" label including a singing group and hand cream. Maybe the company needs to do a brand recognition test to see what people think Genesis means.

If I hadn't seen the G80 in a car show, I wouldn't have known.

Advertising people do strange things at times. Some good, some much less so. Over the years there have been commercials that I'd see three or four times and did not figure out what they were selling. Name recognition, logo recognition is important. They want the consumer to see the brand and be comfortable with it even if not buying right now. Down the road though, if you are looking for a car you will feel more comfortable walking into a Genesis showroom than say, Skoda.
