  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I hear, scratch that, read that some Genesis models have an H medallion on the trunk. My wife and I were concerned when we ordered our 2015 all options Genesis that it would have a silly H on the trunk. However it arrived at the dealership with the distinguishable wings emblem on the back. She and I were very pleased. Can anyone tell us why some models in 2015 have the H on the back and others do not. Is it the option packages that make the difference ? We are already looking forward to buying a 2017 Equis that is reported to be produced in an AWD 5.0 version in one of the car magazines. That sounds like the ultimate combination of a Korean super car.

They all come with an H on the back. Your dealer removed the H and installed the wings. The wings are an original Hyundai part however are only delivered on cars outside of north america. Some install these on their own as the wings can be had for around $25, the stealerships tend to charge $200+. Hope this explains it.

Thank you for the reply. The dealer we purchased the Genesis from had to do a dealer inventory search in order to get us the white maxed out model we were looking for. We were told that the vehicle came from a dealer in another state. Perhaps that dealer changed the emblem out. I have been asked this question about the wings on the back of the vehicle from other owners and I do appreciate your logical resolution to my query. The "stealerships" did not go by without a good belly laugh, thanks for the truthful levity.
