  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I got a motor for the steering wheel replaced cause the steering wheel didn't move up and down all the time. There's now some clunking coming from the steering wheel and yesterday during the day the car was very hesitant in starting up. At dusk the car didn't want to start and finally I got it to start up after 5 minutes of nothing. When it started up my clock showed a different time, my rear sunshade went up for no reason and I lost all my preset radio stations. Hyundai got a call immediately and it was far from pleasant voicemail about their morons screwing up my car again. I'm learning that you get what you pay for. I paid 37k for a 2010 Genesis and $1800 for an extended warranty and I'm at about 5k for issues repaired under the extended warranty. I love the way the car drives but I can't believe what a pos it is. Spend the extra money and get an Acura or a Lexus or an Infiniti. It will pay off in the long run with less headache and employees that can do the job. Hyundai is still a low level car company.

I think you may need a new battery. If so, Make sure it is an agm battery with proper amps. The steering wheel problem is a know issue with the early 2010's. The dealer did not do the repair correctly on the steering wheel. My last Acura had to have power steering hoses, power steering pump, AC compressor, cat. converter, two sets of front brakes, all before 75,000 miles.

^^ I do believe your plight with the supposed vaunted Acura.. Neighbors who have been buyers for years finally got authentic and admitted how much it cost them in time and money to deal with their Multiple Acura. Their daughter has first gen Fusion with a over 150k miles. Never been in the shop for repair beside fluid changes, tires and one set of pads at over 100k miles (no rotors required). Plus I reminded them about no expensive cam belt to change on her car. Which BTW let them know we do not have to do this either on the V6 or V8. They have woken up.

Have another neighbor who regrets the day he sold is older LS and went to the GS family. They have had tons of problems with Lexus. And he says he see tons more cars in for major surgery at the dealer than years past.
