  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hmm, urrr... Interesting but certainly different!

All I can say, may that 'skin deep' gorgeous Perl white RIP...;)

Sold you say? Out of interest was it buyer's remorse? Or did someone make you an offer that you could not refuse?

More importantly, what did you end up with as your new ride?

Looks like the result of when my kids decided to wash my black car years ago with a Brillo pad!

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I'm confused by the title. Does murdered mean it's awesome similarly to when one describes something as "sick" or "bad"? Or, did you do this to it, later regret the decision, and then refer to the Genesis posthumously as murdered by your bad decision?

I like matte finishes on certain cars - the Veloster is neat and matte grey is generally cool looking on top tier exotics or lowered M's or AMG's. Just don't think it fits the Genesis's luxurious personality very well.

Dude, that sucks. What kind of car did they ruin?

Was a Lincoln LS. After the repaint, it was sold.

Murdered out means that everything is black. Paint, wheels, grill, lights, tint, interior etc.

Ah, I see. I'll keep any editorializing to myself on that topic. Wouldn't the tail and head lights need to be tinted black as well?

Tough crowd, tough crowd. No worries though.

Maybe its the pictures or it looked better in real life. Because no matter where I went people complimented, wanted to know where I got it done, how much it would cost for their car, loved the matte finish, blah blah blah.

Not for everyone though, couple old people thought it looked like a 'gangster car.' Whatever that means. I liked it. Needed springs and spacers, but since they didn't make em for the '13 I gave up on modding. By the end, it kind of resembled a mad max car since I never washed it and too many people messed with the dip (touching it, trying to peel it, etc).

The car was silver underneath, and the matte dip peeled right off when I sold it. Perfect paint protection (paint condom!). Car looked brand new.

Daviderle - I bought a 2015 Audi SQ5. Basically a crossover S4. Love it. Hated the non-sportiness of the RSpec. The SQ5 has the better sport seats, great exhaust note, amazing 8 speed, nice handling, and it feels like you're driving a sporty car more than the RSpec. Doesn't feel like it's raised up at all. And with 350/350 with a great transmission it feels just as fast as the RSpec, even though I know the Genesis has that edge.

Perfect all weather car for the upcoming newborn.

I will tell you I miss that adaptive cruise control. Man, that's nice for daily traffic. Didn't think I needed that option for the Audi, but I was wrong(!). Overall I really enjoyed the Genesis. But I don't miss it.

That's why I'm confused by the reaction. It resembled the above cars. Blame it on the shitty photographer (me) I guess.

And yeah, if I wanted to get pulled over all the time I'd have tinted the tails. I took some license with the title of the thread.

Looks great. Most people don't realize how great it looks in person and how it really shows off the body lines of a car. No, a well done satin or matte black doesn't look like an unfinished job. Ive seen my fair share of shitty matte or satin paint jobs and you can really tell the difference between quality and not. Thats y an actual matte paint job is crazy expensive. Props for doing the plastidip, i did my old trailblazer SS matte grey and always got compliments.

Jesus Christ what was the purpose of the build? What were the specs on the engine. That turbo is massive.

The stock LS2 just wasn't cutting it and i wanted to give outlaw 8.5 class a go. I wanted something i could track and still get 16-18mpg's on the road and drive as normal all with stock interior and roll cage. It was an LS7 based 427 motor with a Garret GT55 88mm turbo. Had to get out of the racing game. Was getting kind of crazy as far as money of course.

Yeah I don't doubt that one bit.
