  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My entertainment unit is starting to go bad. It reboots itself. Needs to be turned on and off now and then for bluetooth to work. I was told it cannot really be diagnosed- just replaced. I found some used ones for $1000. Any suggestions? I have a 2012 Genesis sedan. Thanks! I am new to forum.

It can be fixed, but you have to find the right person to do it. You need someone that is very familiar with electronics that can check the circuit boards and components on it. It may be cheap, it may be very expensive to do that. There are people that have the equipment and know-how to check every component on a circuit board. You may want to look for a local shop or hobby guy. Some shops have a minimum charge. There are a few guys that tinker in the basement and will do it for little more than a six-pack. The difficult part is finding the right guy. Check your local shoppers paper for an ad or ask around.
