  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My 5.0's VIN is showing my car is a R-Spec

SPORT-TUNED SUSPENSION & STEERING
More aggressive R-Spec chassis tuning ensures that, once
the road gets twisty, Genesis will keep you confidently in
command. To match its powertrain enhancements, we’ve
included higher front and rear spring rates and a thicker
rear stabilizer bar that improves body roll control. We’ve
added Sachs® ASD shocks with 25 to 30 percent higher
damping rates for sportier driving dynamics. And we’ve
recalibrated the car’s speed-sensitive steering
to match
the unique handling characteristics of 19-inch wheels
fitted with available sport performance tires.

This says they have recalibrated the steering as compared to the non-R-Spec Genesis. This does not say they recalibrated the steering of an R-Spec 2012 model to something different to an R-Spec 2013 model.

At least that is how I read it.
If they made some minor changes of steering between 2012 R-Spec and 2013 R-Spec, that information is not "always" going to show up in marketing information, or in any publically available information.

However, I would not take anything a salesman tells me at face value.
