  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2013 genesis sedan with 198,000 miles runs great but my air bag light comes on and stays on. Does anyone have this problem and I need help with it or how can I disable it.

Thank you

There are dozens of reasons for the SRS fault light to come on. You really should have it diagnosed and fixed. Those air bags can be the difference between being slightly dazed or being sent to the nearest trauma center or worse.

I received a letter in the mail that extended my warranty on the Takata air bag thru 2025(my original warranty dropped when I hit 100K in 2017 or 2018). You might contact Hyundai North America. I haven't had the light illuminate except for starting the vehicle.

Not heard anything as of today. Maybe they will find a solution by the end of 2025?
