If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I purchased my new 2014 Equus Signature today. Was in the works for about 1 week as my work schedule didn't allow it to happen all in one day.

Good deal at $41,445?

I take delivery of the car on Monday as I didn't have anyone with me at the time I purchased it.

White with saddle interior....

Funny thing is; my old 2009 Genesis was white with saddle leather too!

Question: do all Equus come with the cup holder ash tray? Unless it was somewhere else mine won't have it... Not that I need it because I don't smoke.

41k?! that's a great deal!

I'd be driving an equus right now at that price!
Love that color combo

Congrats. New price, 2014 or not, at 33% discount off sticker (I am assuming it is a signature?) is darn good... Where did you buy it?

Holy skaggle daggle! $41k for a new Equus! That's awesome. Congratulations!!

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
The pricing started at 45995.... Basically told them could only buy the car all in at 44500 including tax, title, fees and registration. That was my real bottom line budget. If they didn't do it I would have had to walk away.

Tax alone was 2600, dealer fee was 300 then reg fees.....

The dealer had a 2015 genesis 5.0 signature for 52k.... Prob could have purchased it for around 47/48k.... I'll take the Equus all day for 41445....

I'd love to know if anyone on Earth got a better deal on an Equus than you did...

I'm sure there will be better deals to have as the months move along in 2015.... I'm happy with the purchase price I received. Now just waiting for the damn thing to be delivered (tomorrow)!

I'm still curious about the ashtray if anyone has information.

Thanks,

I don't know what you are talking about. Is there no ash tray or no cup holder?

I believe most cars don't have ashtrays now, but they do sell as an accessory an ashtray you can install easily in the change tray.

The Equus has ashtrays on the rear doors (old school). It also has an ashtray that fits in one of the cup holders in the front. If you care to google search you can see pictures of it. I was just wondering if the car is supposed to come with the front ashtray.

Post pictures! :)

I will.... confirmed the car was dropped off at my house tonight. I'm out of town right now but back tomorrow afternoon. Will snap some pics when I can...

I received the car today. I'm really happy so far with my purchase!

I noticed that the "card" style key was in the glove box (inside the user manual leather case). With the key still in its original wraping will this affect the features of the other key fobs?

Also, has anyone found a good use for the card style key? I'd love to use it somehow but not sure how or when would be the right time.

I'm not sure what you mean about how credit card style key being wrapped in plastic would affect the other key fobs. I'm also not sure what you mean by "good use" of it. If I had it, I'd just keep it in my wallet and leave my key fob at home. It's a convenience thing...

The credit card style key isn't as thin as a credit card. Its about 1/3 the thickness of a deck of cards. Other than it looking cool I'm not sure what the purpose of it is. You cant attach keys to it. But I do applaud Hyundai for providing the option.

Nice picture and great job negotiating the price.

I'm considering an Equus, 2014 or 2015, and I'm currently driving a 2009 Genesis. Of course, I want a price like you were able to negotiate.

Any information or comparisons to the 2009 Genesis that you can provide will help inform my purchase decision. No need to give the information all at once but, as a pro or con hits you, please add to this thread. I'll be watching. Thanks.

Sure, no problem. I actually had a 2009 Genesis 4.6 which I loved. There are major differences with the ride between the two. The Equus rides a lot smoother and floats a lot more. I actually like this feeling better. If you're looking for a more sportier ride then I would look at the new Genesis.

The technology has come a long way too from our 2009's. The guided cruise control litterally drives the car for you and the lane departure feature is also nice.

As I drive it more, I will let you know how I feel about it. I'm finding new items to play with each day....

My wife has my genesis while her car is in the shop. Her folks are out of town and i'm driving her mom's LS460. I like the butteryness of it, but enjoy the sportyness of the genesis.

I imagine the Equus compares well to the LS.

Nice looking car. Which package did you get?

Your Equus looks REALLY nice. Again, congratulations. And thank you for posting the picture. As for the key you're talking about - okay - I guess it's not the same as the one that comes with the new Genesis - which is flat. Yeah, I don't know what you're supposed to do with the one you have either. Seems strange, really. I guess it's more comfortable in a pocket than a key...

Yes, the Equus competes with the Lexus LS...

Its the signature package but pretty loaded if you ask me.
