My new Genny --- Almost

I will be picking this car up on Monday. Its a 5.0 Ultimate, Montecito Blue with Beige Interior.

Beautiful car was my first choice in color combo but had too long a wait in Houston for that, went with parisian grey with black interior. trust me you will love the car.

Wow, great job! The 5.0 Ultimate Montecito blue is my favorite but there hasn't been even a whiff of one around here. I'm very envious!

I located it online in Miami and was fortunate enough to have my local dealer (Wallace Hyundai in Stuart Florida) be able to swap one of their cars for it. We spilt the cost of shipping it up here which I was happy to do as I knew there was not another one in Florida. I demanded it be transferred on a flatbed and not driven up here to keep the miles off the car.

I got a phone call from my salesman (Marty Z.) at noon yesterday that the flatbed truck driver noticed some scratches (hence the reason I won't get it until Monday) on the front bumper. I told him as long as you correct the issue I was good with it. I really appreciated him calling me like that and gave me the option to back out of the deal but knowing this was the only one in Florida, my mind was made up.

The MSRP on this car is was $56,085. I got the car for $50,283 before normal fees (TTL)... That is with the Hyundai Circle Discount. Thank You Derek Joyce at HMA for his help in getting me this discount.

You will love this car. We can all post on how great it is but once behind the wheel and after some extensive use you will realize there's not much out there for competition, certainly not at this price. Color choice is second to none only mistake is you should have gone with the ivory interior. Excellent choice of the V8 as this is what this car deserves, you will finally get to understand what effortless power really is on a daily basis.

Wow... Simply gorgeous! Absolutely a rare color combo. I was also interested in seeing this particular color with the beige interior but like some have said in earlier posts the Monticito Blue seemed to be a rare bird indeed early on.... You will love the car, congrats on a very well deserved prize after your patient wait for the perfect one for you!

Heartlander I have been following these cars since the spy pictures have came out late last year. This forum is a great place to keep tabs on all that is Genesis for sure.


Midnightsun After your PM response, Ivory was my second color but when I seen this car available, I jumped in with both feet. Can't wait until I get to put some miles on it. I foresee a road trip to the mountains in the future. This is my first $50k plus car. The most I ever spend on a car previously was half that. I keep my cars for 10 years plus. My plan with this one is to get the extended warranty and drive it 9.9 years or 99,000 miles then trade it for the next model year. I bought my 2002 Honda Civic SI 12 years ago and have put 148,000 miles on it. Based on that number I will be pushing 100,000 miles around the year 2022. I will have this car paid off by the end of next year so that is 7 years without a car payment. My luck they will come out with a RSPEC version forcing me to pull the trigger sooner

Quick question, you used the a Hyundai circle discount. Did that include dealer fee / document fee or did they add that on top of the circle price. I have been trying to get a handle on whether the dealer fee is included. Thanks, and congrats again.

I got the discount as a "Friend". I started emailing Derek @ HMA before the car was out. After a few emails back & forth, he offered me the discount once the cars hit the lots and stocks were built back up after the initial sales.

It is available to Hyundai Think Tank members, who are customers that Hyundai uses to get feedback on various marketing and other issues, and also has a forum.

Went down to the dealers yesterday and finalized all the paperwork. Car won't be ready until noon on Tuesday. All that is left to do is swap insurance on my car to the Genesis, sign up for Bluelink, take it to my window tint guy and drive it home.
