  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have taken my 2013 genesis r spec to Walmart to have the oil changed until it was out of warranty so I would have a record for warranty it is now 3 months out of warranty and is do for a oil change and has started running very rough so I do the oil change first then I will check the engine when I pull the oil filter housing there is 3 or moor plastic rings on the end of the shaft inside the housing and the oil filter is crushed on that end I take it to Walmart to show them and the manager tells me that she grew up on a farm working on equipment and has been a mechanic and the oil was going through the filter and not the opening where it was crushed and that the plastic rings on the shaft would not have affected the oil filter working properly and they will only warranty problems with in 90 days there is no way to tell if the filter is installed properly unless u pull it every time so I go home and run a compression test 5 has low compression and 6 is almost no compression any ideas what to do and if u own this car never take it to Walmart I hope this never happens to any of you

u are 100% right and I know better but my dealer is moor then 50 miles away and with rebuilding a house for my mom and pushing 60 I am just to busy my poor old body is about in the same shape as my poor old 5.0 I was a mechanic for moor then 20 years one time I took a 2nd job at Walmart for some extra cash and when I started doing a service going through the check list it said to check differential fluid so I asked where the tools were the guy training asked me what is a differential needless to say next time I came to work I brought some of my tools but what I could really use is some advice on what to do next and to warn anyone I can so they do not have to go through this
