  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
No Genesis Yet!
Hi, New to the form and interested in ordering the GV70. But with the wait I've heard in 2 months the dealers will be taking orders for the 2024s.

Does anyone know the differences to help decide if it's worth waiting an extra 2 months?

I want to find out the answers too. Specifically, I want to know if the 2024 models will again contain the HDA2 chip that was in the 2022 models but removed along with the side sensors in the 2023 models. Additionally, I want to know when Genesis cars will incorporate the latest CarPlay version coming out for 2024 cars.

I’m just hoping they resolve the transfer case and rear differential issues for the 2024 MY…

I don't think anyone has the answer to this as the 24 model year hasn't been announced. I was told by my sales rep they are delaying the 24 model year to around Sept as there is no need to immediately update and they just released the 2023 GV70 Electrified, so don't want to immediately go to 2024.

The general manager told me he would call the Southeast Regional Manager to get the answers to my questions but lo and behold he couldn't reach him. The manager thought the 24's would be coming out early summer. I will continue to press for answers before I order a car.

I ordered a 2022 on May 28th last year and received a 2023 in September. They seemed to know some details by early June last year...it's like pulling teeth to get that info consistently from anyone though. Most news is from the US but Canada's details are always very different.

Yes 2024 will have HDA2

Hi all. New member here. First post.

I'm very interested in this question as well. I've been driving the German brands my entire adult life (and I'm old, lol) and have become a complete Genesis believer. I was ready to move from my X4 M40i but have decided to wait until we know more about the MY24 model. As incredible as the tech is in the GV70, there are a couple of things that I'm hoping for in 24:
  • From what I can see, Digital Key only works with Samsung phones, but DK2 has been introduced in some Genesis models and works with Apple. Hopefully, the GV70 gets DK2 in 24.
  • Wireless CarPlay. What a bummer it doesn't exist in any Hyundai product with integrated nav. I think I get Hyundai's issue, but it's a huge hole in an otherwise incredible tech offering. But because it's a Hyundai-wide issue, I'm not hopeful for a 24 GV70 resolution.
  • Audio info and album art. Do I understand correctly that if you're using wired CarPlay and running a CarPlay nav app (i.e. Waze) and a CarPlay music app (i.e. Spotify), you can't display audio info on the right side of the central screen? And there's not an option for audio info to be displayed in the IP? What about HUD?

Any info out there on any of issues, especially if there's hope of seeing resolution in MY24, is much appreciated.

With Android Auto, I can display audio info...both on the screen and the HUD.

The wireless carplay/android auto thing is a bit overblown. It sounds cool but the reality is in every car it's pretty lame. It heats up your phone and drains battery life ridiculously quick and you are competing with other wireless signals all about. Then you think 'oh well I can put it on the wireless charging pad', except in literally every car the wireless charging pads are terrible and the rate of charge is probably not enough to even cover the depletion rate caused by using carplay wirelessly. Then on top of that the wireless charger causes the phone to heat up even more. So then you think - 'oh I'll just plug it in'...

Well I have wireless CarPlay in both my current cars and it is cool, especially for quick trips when I just throw my phone on the passenger seat and still have access to Waze and Spotify.

Do you know of any other changes to the 2024?
deleting the god awful lime green, adding a burgundy color, RWD 212 hp, 294 miles 19" wheels, 20" 264,10 airbags, HDA 2, Heat pump, battery heater, tail gate & road noise reduced

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Highway Driving Assist II (HDA II) • Highway Driving Assist (HDA) is a driving convenience system that assists drivers in maintaining the center of the lane, at an appropriate speed, while keeping a safe distance to the car in front • This feature can be used from 0 to 95 mph – on Controlled-Access Federal Interstate Highways (ex: I-405 / ~97.7k miles in U.S.) • This is an assist-only feature – does not allow for full “hands-off” driving • Warnings are given if the driver does not hold the wheel – and if this persists – the system is disabled • When the driver sets HDA to a speed matching that of the current road’s speed limit (ex: HDA set to 65 MPH in a 65 MPH zone) – the Auto Set Function is activated • When the vehicle enters an area with a different posted speed limit (ex: 65 MPH  55 MPH)– the vehicle’s speed is automatically changed to match it (if speed limit is available in navigation system data)
