2016 2G 3.8 AWD sedan newbie here with another question:
While looking for something dropped between the front passenger seat and the console I discovered a flat, black plastic cover over a "spot" on the floor. It had come loose. Not knowing what it was, I tried looking in the owner's manual -- to no avail. Using the index was no help at all (I can't look it up when I don't have a clue what it is). I thought somebody here might know what it is and what it's covering... and if its becoming dislodged is going to be a problem, especially if this happens repeatedly.
This black plastic cover is spaced between the seat's rails, forward of the seat, but behind the back of the floor mat. It's about 8" long, an inch or so wide, and has "LIFT" in raised letters on one (outboard) end. It seemed to go back in place, but I'm not sure it's in right.
Anyone here got any ideas, other than leave it alone? It seems it might have been kicked loose by my passenger.
TIA for any guesses or info...
