  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Nürburg Green Photoshoot

Really liking this color. I wonder what my odds of being able to get one in the US are since it's a special edition.
Not sure the rationale for that on Genesis US: it's a regular colour choice here ...

Now that's a green I could live with. I've done the British Racing Green and NEVER again.

So I had a chance to hand wash the new car, and applied a ceramic treatment ... should have found a better place to do the shoot, but in case anyone is wondering what the Green looks like in real life, here you go!

Such a great design...looks amazing in all the colours. I have Himalayan Grey... but I must say, yours is very cool.

I am struggling with my choice as I want the top model, but do not like the black trim and wheels. Somehow though these looks good on the green as well as the silver models. Maybe I will warm up to the trim and wheels over time.

Love this color too! In the US all we ever get is black, white, 50 shades of gray, then red, and maybe a blue. I love this take on a gray color with a green hue to it. But I am sick to death of silver/gray cars...everywhere, and they are the least visible on the highways.

unfortunately, I fear that the green may also blend in on the highway. I feel like it's not quite green enough to stand out and at first glance would, in fact, be mistaken for dark grey. Any green owners have any different experiences?

^ yes, but if they went much heavier on the green pigment they would turn off a lot of buyers. i agree they may have gone with a touch more green (almost british racing green), but not too much. they stayed on the fence a bit, but certainly took a more of a risk than some brands.

No that's about right. In bright sunlight you get the green, but in flat lighting or if the car is dirty it pretty much looks grey. I drive a Himalayan and even I confuse the Nurburg Green for it sometimes at a distance depending on the day.

I wonder how much realistic choice there is with colors, even on the premium brands?

Some cars offer well of a dozen color options on their manufacturer “build” websites, such as the BMW 4 series, which offers 11 colors plus 5 individual colors.

So, when I look at my nearby BMW dealer in a well-populated area of California there are 36 440i’s available on their website. How many of those 11 colors are in their stock? 4. Only 4! 22 White, 8 Black, 5 Gray and 1 Blue. Did the other 7 colors sell out? Did they ever have the other 7? Kind of a “the chicken or the egg” question: are most of them white, black and gray because that’s what “the people” want or do people have those few colors because that’s all there is?

I’m still loving the green ... maybe a little subtle for some but I like the debate ...

To me it seems to be the kind of color that people will over look and not even notice while driving on the road; but while parked, driving slowly, or stopped at a red light, you'll get plenty of stares and questions!! That to me is a successful color and what attracts me to the Siberian Ice because it seems to have sort of the same double-take impression look to it as the nurburg green!

seeing your pics, I'm convinced I'll be going with the green on my 2021 G70 3.3T Sport - thank you!
