  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Got in the car to drive to work this morning and my map display kept my location at my house as I drove. When I got to work, I shut down the car and restarted it and it continued to show my current location as my home. After work, still the same. No nav, and location stuck on my house location. Got home and tried the reset button and still no luck. Clock info not display either. Just displays - - :- - Any ideas??

Disconnect the battery for a few minutes, if the problem persist I think you'll have to make a trip to your dealer.

sounds like it isn't pickup up the GPS satellites to triangulate your position.

has anyone figured out how to access the engineering menu on the G70? on the G80 you can see how many satellites the system is connected to through that menu.

FWIW I had a horrible problem with this on my 2010 Chevy Avalanche, the dealership replaced the head unit 3 times, and the issue persisted, until one day I decided to troubleshoot it myself, turns out the connector on the antenna side (not the head unit side) was broken, I replaced the GPS antenna with one I had from an after market radio which had the same head unit side connector, and I never had the issue again.

not saying it is your problem, just pointing out it could be something that simple, we have seen several threads here in which new owners had stuff not working only to discover it was disconnected and likely not properly connected at the factory.

On my 2018 G80 Base if you go to setup - navigation - general - GPS information it will show you the location of all the GPS satellites in the big circle, and a lot of other bits of information like mph, elevation, etc.
Maybe this will work on your G70 also.
