NAV System tracking

I just acquired a 2012 Genesis 4.6, built a few months ago in 2011. The NAV system appears to be off 1/10 of a mile. When you're trying to go to a specific address it's a real nuisance.
Either it tells you you've arrived at your destination when you still have 1/10 of a mile to go, or when you get to a specific address that you programmed in (HOME for 1!) the system says you've got to go another 1/10 of a mile.
One dealer told me system needed to be recalibrated on their computer.
Another dealer tells me that it's normal for the system to be off this much, that the system can't be recalibrated, only updated and that there are no new updates for my system.
Anyone else out there had this problem and know whether it's normal to be off like this?
Hyundai America gave me a boiler plate answer: Your dealer knows how to fix any problems.....

Help will be greatly appreciated on this issue.

Is it off by a 10th of a mile from the road or just not correct regarding the address? If its just the address then its the info in the map software. The nav in our Acura was off by a number or two sometimes and so is our Mercedes. Have not noticed the Genesis being inaccurate yet but I am sure it will happen. Google earth is also not correct when some addresses are entered. As always if garbage goes in from the programers then we get garbage out.

Sorry but just had to respond (since have been in IT since 1980). You are correct about garbage in garbage out. However, this is not a programmer problem. This is a data problem.

I've run into a issue when driving one a mountain that was wrapped with many parallel roads at different elevations. The GPS was off or wandering enough that the nav system was uncertain which road it was on.

Does the nav system in the Genesis use WAAS?

My 2012 is dead-on accurate so far. I use the Navigation 3-5 times a week and it takes me to the front door.

Logically, it would appear that the either the system is not inputting the correct address to be translated into lat & long or that the address is not being translated correctly into lat and long for the satellite.
Dealer says they talked to Hyundai America tech who claims they never had such a problem b/f---but I find it hard to believe I have the only car which ever had this problem.

You are not along....I have been back and forth with this problem for two years now on my 2010 Jinny and have received no satisfactory solution to the cause. They gave me one map update but this did not help at all. I usually use my hand held GPS when I go to an area that I am not familiar with. TWO YEARS....Hyundai needs to find another outfit to provide better nav software for them.

My NAV did this when I 1st bought it. I'd be sitting in my driveway and the NAV would show I have about another tenth of a mile to my home. However, for me this was corrected after my NAV update offered by Hyundai.

Mine does the same thing. I still just use my Google Navigation on my phone. It's easier to input the destination and gets me better results. Oh yeah, I have a new 2012.
