  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

For some reason, that CAUTION screen that appears when starting the car will no longer disappear upon depressing the round control knob like it used to. Also, with that CAUTION screen remaining on the display, the knob will no longer change the radio stations when you rotate it, nor will the navigation map appear on the screen. I just disconnected the batter for about an hour in the hopes that that would reset the system, but when I reconnected the battery, there was no change. Has anybody else had this situation, and, if so, what was the solution? I did a search here, but did not find anything on this. Thanks much.

Could be an issue with the knob. Lots of info on the forum regarding failures. Here is one of them.

Thanks, based on info in a couple of threads here, I tried disconnecting the battery for a while, as well as pulling a couple of fuses while the car was in ACC mode but engine not running. I'm not sure what was the cause, but the CAUTION screen did clear afterwards. As to the functioning of the control knob itself, I'm not yet sure how it's working.
