  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My service tech told me there was an update for my (Oct 2017 purchased) 2018 G90. He ordered it (had Hyundai claim #) then told me they didn’t have one for my model. Anyone have any experience with this issue?

The 2018 G90's already have the latest map update. And there is nothing to order. The update is on a USB stick, which is automatically sent to all dealers anyways.

Go to mapnsoft.com select the Hyundai usa section set up an account ( this is a Hyundai co.)
you will be switched to a Genesis site when selecting G90
It will tell you if there is an update for your VIN # or not.
My understanding is the first 2018
g90's produced my not have had the latest update.
Most of them were updated to Oct. 2017 newest update.
I purchased mine in Oct 2017 and there are no updates for it yet.
not until the Oct.2018 once a year update by mapnsoft.

Not sure how up to date the update is. My 2015 had whatever came originally. Speed limits were right on, POIs were good. My 2018 has the latest, but many of the speed limits were incorrect on well established roads. Twice I searched for a Best Western hotel and on the first one it took me to an Econo Lodge, the second was independent but changed recently so I don't fault the map software on that one. For the technology challenged, yearly dealer installed updates make sense, but for the capable DIY, quarterly downloadable would make more sense. Garmin does it on much cheaper units for free.

The service record on my 2017 G90 describes the multimedia / nav update as follows:

D T01G G90SUPD1-G90 Multimedia & Navi Update (17-01-001G)

I have a 2015 G80 is there an update for this car? What is the cost?
