  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My voice commands for nav work poorly in my 3.8 AWD Signature. It rarely understands "go home". In another thread someone mentioned the possibility of microphone placement but commands for audio seem to work fine?

It appears I'm not alone with this. Fixable??

You might have a bad mic, mine works 99% of the time without issue.

I also have difficulty with the “Go Home” command myself. I think for me anyway it has something to do with the word “Home” to be more precise the H sound of the word. There's also a “Go Office” command which I’ve never tried. The “Office” word might be more distinguishable. Worth a try. My 2011 was a pleasure in this respect there was a key word used for all stored routes. It was “navigate”. So all I would say was “Navigate Home” one time and that was that. Now with the addition of the Google search we’ve seem to have lost that basic function. .

I tried "Go to office" and that didn't work either. With Blue Link 8 out of 10 times I get a "connection error". Blue Link said it might be location but I drove 10 miles and kept getting the error until finally it asked for POI and then didn't recognize it.

Mine work over 95% of the time also. I wonder if the Nav system understands some speech patterns better than others?

I'm sure that may have some effect but I still had a problem when my wife tried it. No one has a problem when I'm talking hands free on the car phone although if passenger speaks it is hard for listener to understand.
