Been here awhile...
I think this is a new one: has anyone encountered NavTraffic entries that were inaccurate?
Twice in the past week, I glanced down and noticed the little icon on my nav screen that indicates I'm approaching a "traffic event". In both instances, the system indicated that I was coming up on a blocked lane, and in both cases, there was no evidence of an even slight slowdown when I got there.
I realize there may be timing issues with this system, whereby legitimately-reported events still show up for a while after they've been "cleared", but in both cases cited above, it's unlikely that there was blockage or a slowdown of any sort...neither area is prone to that sort of thing, particularly at the time of day I drove by.
I sure hope NavTraffic doesn't turn out to be a case of the "boy who cried wolf". I'm already skeptical about the utility of XM Radio, and chronic credibility problems with NavTraffic will not encourage me to write a check for ongoing service once the complimentary subscription expires.
