  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone,
I am a new user here and just registered recently. I live in the northeast. I am in the market for a G70 and these are the two cars i have found so far. Both are New 2019 ones and in red color.

New 2019 G70 3.3T Advanced AWD (Red):
MSRP: $47K; Listed Price: $39K
Negotiated it down to $36K + TTL, so it will be around $39K OTD.

New 2019 G70 3.3T Prestige AWD (Red)
MSRP: $51K: Listed Price: $43K
I haven't negotiated this car yet. However, i am definitely more interested in this one as this is the higher trim level.
What would be a good price for this specific car? What should i aim at?

Both of these cars are new so i'd get all the perks and warranties etc.

Thanks in advance. Any insight into these would be extremely helpful.

  • Verify the mileage on those vehicles. Not what the sticker says, but what the odometer says. My color choices were, in order, Mallorca Blue, Havana Red, and Siberian Ice. One caveat for me was I wanted AWD, and those are not easy to find in the southwest. In any case I couldn't find any Mallorca Blue HTRACs within 500 miles of me, and while I did find a couple of Havana Red AWD models down here, I found more than one instance where they had been used for service loaners and had hundreds of miles on them. Won't always be the case, but checking before you get out there is never a bad idea.
  • The 2019 Havana Red G70s were basically recalled and held back from sale when some paint issues were found. Genesis basically re-painted them and put them on the market for sale. That is why you see so many, as detailed by this thread (which also lists some prices people paid for them).

Thanks for your detailed response. So, i visited the dealership yesterday and test drove the 3.3T advanced AWD which i negotiated it down to $36K + TTL. This car had less than 50 miles and the sales person confirmed that this will come with all the genesis warranties and concierge services etc. So, they're selling both of those cars as new. I personally don't have a problem even if these were repainted as these are amazing deals for what is an amazing car! I was wondering what would be a good price for the 3.3T Prestige AWD. It is listed at around $43k. Do you think it would be a good deal for that one if i could get it down to $39K to $40K? Is it worth pursing it?

That's not a bad deal, especially if the 39K is the OTD price. Check out this post, or this post. One thing to keep in mind is that there were 4K incentives on this car in May, 5K on them in June. Those are no longer, so pay more heed to the more recent deals than the earlier ones.
