  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello I'm coming here for some help. My g70 is at 160,000KM mark and i got the dreaded oil pressure sensor light. I gathered all the parts and was doing a great job at tackling this. I'm embarassed to say i toghtened the new oil pressure sensor to the housing and it snapped the housing ☹️. I feel like an idiot and so mad at myself. I have ordered a new part 211603LTAO but I honestly bave no idea how to take this part out and can't find anything on the internet. I believe i have to remove the Coolant crossover pipe beside the oil pressure sensor but have no idea how to remove this pipe! Is it the water pump? Please help me!

The service manual calls that the "Water center pipe." I have the manual for the 3.8, but it is probably similar to the 3.3, as both use the 211603LTAO. The manual says that you have to remove the "water temperature control assembly" to remove the center pipe. There are several parts to remove first to get that off.

1. Water pump pulley
2. Water pump
3. Water pump gasket
4. Water center pipe
5. Water inlet pipe
6. Water outlet pipe
7. Water temperature control assembly
8. Electric thermostat (ECT)

Thank you I also found it in my manual I have a alldata plan and noticed they call for the engine to be dropped to remove The water temperature control assembly. I was hoping to unbolt the water temperature control assembly without dropping the engine and push it back an inch to possibly get the pipe out. Also, I noticed a video on YouTube. They removed that centre pipe to change the oil pressure sensor and it looks like the water pump is off. Perhaps the pipe can come off if the water pump is taken out.

I would certainly try that first. I am interested to see how it all works out for you. I assume that my oil pressure sensor will fail one day too. How difficult was removing the fuel rails? Will you be replacing injectors, or at least the seals on the existing ones?

Everything went very smooth and quite easy when you get into it. I purchased all new seals for the injectors, intake, bolts and all the other good stuff. Injectors came out easy 2 popped off the line but i had seals so no issues getting them in again followed all torque specs everything was good other than the sensor. I did not know the sensor does not bottom out my big mistake and with the long wrench felt like no additional pressure with that torque. I called my local Hyundai and they were able to order all the parts i need but i did buy the injector seals off ebay super cheap, a pack of 6 for $50 and the packs came woth all 5 seals for one injector.

Good to know. You aren't the only one to make that mistake with the oil pressure sensor.

Pretty good video about changing the oil pressure sensor on a G90:
