  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have three doors that don’t work properly- left rear, and front and rear right side. The left rear has no connection at all - can’t open it either from the inside or outside. The right front and rear work, but won’t automatically unlock or lock.

I had an extended warranty (now expired) with Hyundai, but they wouldn’t cover any of them.

Does anyone have a manual that shows how to trouble shoot, take out and replace the required parts?

Thanks.

Jim

It’s a 2013 with 3.8 liter. Does anyone have a service manual that can show me how to take the doors apart?

2009-2014 all trims have the same door hardware configuration. 3 screws in front, 2 screws rear, plus a bunch of plastic clips hold the door interior panels on (remove trim pieces first as shown below). Gets a bit more complicated than that underneath, but this will get you access to the electrics for troubleshooting.

Thanks for the reply and diagrams. I’ll give it a try as soon as the outside temps get down to something more reasonable. Right now I don’t have an area with A/C and using a swamp cooler under the carport won’t cut it in 100+ degree weather. Also, the wife uses the car almost every day; so do you know whether I can get this done in steps so she can still use the car? Thanks again.
