  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey thanks in advance for responses and advice.

I went out to Genesis of Las Vegas and picked up the only used g90 they had in stock. I had done a lot of research and didn't really need to be sold.

The car has 44k miles and is in pristine condition. Not a scratch on it no curbed wheels or anything. 3.3t in white. All in with the extended warranty (seems like a buy on this car) I was at 45k which frankly seems like an OK price after taxes and the warranty.

I took the car on a short trip and was quite pleased. Unfortunately just a few days later it's in the shop heistiating with a check engine light. The tech seemed annoyed by my presence and told me he was really busy.

12 days pass and they get me the car back. I do a u turn 3 blocks later because it's doing the same thing. Now I'm obviously pretty upset.

I begged for a loaner and they did give me an Elantra. We are now on 35 days. The car has been fixed and it's waiting for me to pick it up.

I kept it as polite as I could but basically I demanded they unwind my contract before I get super loud about it.

To their credit they offered me 1k back (2 payments) which seems pretty fair. I'm out of pocket 0 dollars past the purchase and I've put 4000 miles on the loaner. I am confident if I kick and scream they will unwind the deal. But do I want them to?

Do I start fresh and pick another car? If I'm being honest I did want this car but hot damn 35 days and failed injectors after 44k miles does not do much for my confidence in the brand.

G90 owners; is this worth the drama? Am I going to hate this car? Is the dealer making a fair enough offer to keep me in the car? Should I just go get an accord and be boring? Or is the juice worth the squeeze here? I don't feel like I got a horrible deal on the car and I do empathize with the supply chain issues due to the virus. Just so soul crushing to go out and fire on my first real big sedan and be out the car for 35 days. Is this going to be the norm here? Broken and in the shop all the time? They really really really don't want to unwind me but I think I put up enough resistance to get it handled.

To be clear I really wanted this car to work out. Would you guys take the decent offer of 1000 and just live with the car since it's got the warranty etc? Or is this scenario enough for you to just be totally over it with the car and people servicing it?

Thank you
