Need help!!!

So I new to Hyundai and don't know much about it and I have 2013 Genesis 8 speed auto and today I was going down the road and the car jumped and was stuck in 5th gear will not come out unless you turn the are off but does have a check engine like saying its some sensor but just wanna know what you guys have to say

"Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 GT" Why the hell did you buy a automatic? Seriously... the car is a sports car. Buying one with a slushbox defeats the entire point of the car. Buy a Elantra or some other boring car.

I don't think the post above will be too helpful .

My advice is that this sounds like a transmission problem. You dealer can diagnose the issue by scanning for codes. Hopefully the car is under warranty, but in any case this is something that need to be checked out professionally.

My car just started having this issue today, did you ever learn what it was?
