  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Title. So I've had this car since July 2021 and it came with Pilot Sport AS3+ that were about half worn down at that time. The rear ones are now getting low on tread so it's time to look into replacing them.

So I've always absolutely hated the pilot sport as3+. They are just way too firm for my tastes and I want something softer next. (source we had the as3s on a 2011 and switched them out for michelin premiere ltx (which are now discontinued) and the ride got way quieter and smother) I'm actually surprised how quiet and smooth mine already is with these tires.

Any suggestions for a good comfortable tire that still has reasonable handling?

Some tires I've looked at include the Pirelli p7 as plus 3, the vredestein hitrac as, the michelin cross climate 2.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

I recently put Goodyear Assurance Comfort Treds on my 2016 AWD. I absolutely love them.

I have done some research and found these 2 tires to be of extreme value for performance. IE Best bang for the buck. My local service shop forced me to rethink who they are when they suggested putting $300 - $400 tires on my daily driver ( 2015 AWD Sedan). So looking into it was refreshing to say the least as the tire market has changed since I last purchased them. No longer are UHP very different from GT tires for an All Season ride.
Here are the 2 I found to be awesome, and FTR I picked the second one due to the longer treadwear warranty and better snow ratings. I've been extremely pleased with my decision especially cutting down the price per tire to about $200.

Good Luck

Anyone try the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 yet? Opinions?
Sir,
By my own experience and the Tire Rack group, the Pirelli is not only rated higher from the all season perspective, it also has a wider tread with and a longer treadlife, for as of right now $100 ( instant rebate). I was able to take the high bank 90° turn from the down bridge approach near my house at a solid 97 mph( that's what the HUD display was reading, to be fair I was glued into my seat), NO issues.

The A/S 4 is garbage, poor treadwear and if used in an aggressive manner tends to de-tread. Used on a sports coupe before my Genesis and burned through 2 full sets in 20,000 miles.

I like the Continental DWS 06, very comfortable ride and excellent traction. Treadwear is "ok" on the rear tires, since my Genesis is the staggered type it's really hard on rear tires. I got about 20,000 out of my rears and my fronts are still good at 25,000.

I actually switched to Chinesium tires :ROFLMAO: on the rear and they've been excellent for the last 5k. What's more impressive is they were $350 mounted for the pair. Prinx HiRace HZ2 A/S, kind of a clone of the Pilot Sport 4S without the roughness.

Thanks for the input. I had an opportunity to get some on sale, plus an extra rebate, so thought I’d see what some other users had to say.

Did some research, and I decided to purchase a set of those Prinx HiRace HZ2 A/S for my 2017 G90 Ultimate. I am waiting for my DWS 06 Plus to wear down so I can slap on these Prinx tires. I paid for a whole set with free shipping on Amazon for $462.52! They suppose to have a 50,000-mile thread-wear rating...we'll see, but considering the G90's staggered tire set-up, if i can have 20,000 miles on these tires, I would be happy considering the price point.

To everyone on here: I got the Goodyear Assurance ComfortDrive back in July 2023. I like them. Very soft and quiet. A bit of loss of handling compared to the pilot sports but most noticeable when pushing the car.

I would recommend these tires to anyone with this car for sure.
