  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I lost one of my two key fobs somewhere in my house several months ago and need to have it replaced. I found a local locksmith who will program the new fob and cut the manual key for $95.

Now i still need to buy a new transponder key. There are several new ones available on E-Bay for $85 to $156. The part number seems to be #95440B 1200BLH.

Does anyone know if part # 95440B 1200BLH is the correct key fob for a 2015 genesis?

Wow!
I just joined the forum recently to ask this same question!
Just bought a 2015 Sedan.
Only came with one fob.

Been researching a lot.
You need the "FCC number", located inside the fob /on the back of the circuit board.
Don't buy it if they don't match!

I'm not really concerned about getting the key cut...but the dealerships are all supposed to be able to program them.

My biggest question is about the vendors selling the fobs themselves. .
Wondering if anyone has had any good/bad experiences with any of them, in particular ?

(There are a couple sources on the interwebz also...not sure if I'm allowed to mention them)

Please PM me (us) any links if not.

Thanks in advance!

Chris

I don't see how you can wrong purchasing online from Delray Hyundai at the link I provided above. I am sure you can call them if you have any questions.

McGyver9 - I have done the same thing - opened my remaining transponder and got FCC code SY5 DHFNA433 - from the internet I found that the FOB part number matching my FCC code is 95440-B1200BLH, and the manual key code is 81996-B1000
I have ordered both parts from internationalkeysupply.com for $145 + $2.77 for shipping.
As mentioned in previous post I found a local locksmith equipped to program the FOB and cut the key for $95. I will post the results as soon as the process is completed. There were quotes as low as $95 for the FOB on E-Bay but the vendors were not quite clear as to what was included and whether or not their item matched my FCC code.

8/24/17 update. international key cancelled my order because i am not a locksmith. I placed a new order with " 555-Z " on E-bay for $99 - Material was shipped by Yellow key (a wholesaler located in the USA) and received within three business days. I received a transponder 95440 B1200BLH (FCC SY5DHFNA433) with a battery included, and a metal key 81996 B1000. A local locksmith programmed the transponder and cut the metal key for $95. Total cost = $194.

Note: The locksmith told me that he had to reprogram both keys. So, it seems that I will not be able to use my lost key if I find it again, unless I get all the keys reprogrammed once more ( i do not know if it is possible to have three keys for the car)
