  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I’ve heard contradicting stories about updating my current Nav/Infotainment system to update the maps, and add Apple Car Play and Android Auto. I’ve seen YouTube videos of actual Hyundai service guys telling you how to do an update yourself on MyHyundai and then I heard that Hyundai was getting heat for doing that. Does anyone know how I can do this? Thank you for any help!!

which model do you have? base? ultimate? you can update maps and software on both but Apple car play is not supported for the ultimate 9.2 inch screen.

No I only have the 7 inch screen with navigation. So where is it available? I’m hearing different answers from everyone.

There's a website that you can find with Hyundai that will have you install an app on your computer (Mac or PC only) to download the update on a 32gb (only size you can use) SD card. It's a very simple process. Will take about an hour depending on your internet speed.
