  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just picked up my 2015 Genesis 5.0 yesterday (only 245 miles on it!!). A few questions:

1. No SD map card with vehicle. If I order from here:
http://www.mapnsoft.com/hyundai/map-updates/2015-hyundai-genesis-only-touch-map-update-105s51.html
WITH the SD card, am I good to go? Or will not having the original SD card from the manufacturer pose a problem?

2. Registering with MyHyundai. It won't let me. I get this message after entering my VIN/info:
Enrollment in Hyundai Assurance Connected Care powered by Blue Link must be completed at your Hyundai dealer.
Please visit your dealership for enrollment assistance
Do I really have to go to a dealership just for this? I'm trying to register so I can download the Android Auto update (my car is not the Ultimate package). I'm also wondering if the map update from 1 will include the Android Auto as well...

3. Any other new tips for a new owner appreciated. My previous car was 2002 WRX which I just rolled 160K on. I'm really hoping this one last me 15+ years as well.

I'm also a new 2015 owner.

1. Don't know.
2. I emailed a scan of my purchase agreement and registration to Hyundai. Waiting for it to process.
3. It's a great car! (so far)

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
POG:

1) Not having an SD card is not a problem (my car didn't have one either). You'll just need your VIN when you order.

2) Did you buy this as a new car or used? I believe registering w/ myHyundai is normally done at the dealer when you're signing papers.

I suggest calling the dealer that you bought the car from and they should take care of it.

I don't know about Android Auto being pre-loaded on the car, but my guess is no. They will probably send you the version of the SD card that came w/ the car so you can spend $ on the update.

3) Tips:
- Break the car in according to the owner's manual before letting that V8 roar.

- Always use full synthetic oil and change the filter each time (my opinion).

That's about it - enjoy your new ride!

Weird... sorry for the cross post. I tried posting here initially but seemed like my post didn't work. Figured it was more appropriate in the NAV section so I posted there later and it showed up immediately. Anyways, thanks everyone for the responses.

I bought the car used, not from a Hyundai dealer. I ordered from MapNsoft so hopefully it works as they said it should. I plan on asking at the Hyundai dealer about myHyundai when I pick up the spare key fob (car only came with one) and touch up paint I ordered.
