  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

New here, thx for the add!

2015 RWD / 35k miles

Not sure which package I have but I am very pleased. I have the pano roof, navi, vented seats....retail was 47k if that tells you anything. Coming from owning many Europeans and done with ridiculous maintenance issues.

History shows sunroof was replaced a couple of years ago.

Question: Should I get extended warranty?

If you have a heads up display, it's an ultimate package; otherwise, I believe the pano-roof starts with the tech package. 47K would certainly be in the right ballpark for an ultimate though. 35K miles is good mileage for a 2015; nice find. I don't think you'll find too many dissenting opinions on the extended warranty: yes. Hopefully, you can find one backed by Hyundai, but only if it's a CPO.

Edit: And welcome to the forum.

Welcome, nice car, you have good taste. I'd consider a warranty if it gave full coverage. Electronics get pricey.

If the consul has a selector knob it is the Ultimate. Also electric trunk and HUD.

Great car.
Enjoy

Panoramic roof starts with the signature package, that's what I have with my 2016. Extended warranty is a yes for sure.....especially with the 2015 as your warranty is shorter then the warranty on the 2016 model year, I think your about done with the factory warranty at that mileage and year. Never purchased an extended warranty before my last vehicle purchase, a 2010 3.8 premium and it paid for itself rather quickly with some of the electrical issues. I bought it again with the 2016. Piece of mind with the panoramic roof in my eyes.

Excellent! Thank you. I still have until December 31 with the bumper to bumper. As the second owner, I inherit 5 years / 60k.

While Hyundai does have a great drive train (100k) and bumper to bumper (60k) warranty, they are a tiny bit unscrupulous about the warranty for electronics which are only covered for 3 years/36k. With the Genesis in particular, a problem with your infotainment system or other electronics falling under that umbrella can be exorbitant. Definitely something to be mindful of.

Just purchased the Platinum warranty.
$0 Deductible. 100k miles / 48 months
$1900.

I currently have 36k miles. I can cancel the coverage at anytime.

I hope I did ok.

Congrats on the new vehicle. The Platinum warranty for $1900 is a solid deal. It gives you another 64k miles with what amounts to bumper to bumper coverage and it covers the electronics. Good job.

Thanks! This is encouraging. They call is warranty, I call it peace of mind.

Nicely done. Better deal than I got ($2299 but it did additionally include 3 years of oil change tire rotation).

I just purchased my CPO 15 ultimate and got the platinum extended warranty for 10 years 120k for $2500 with zero deductible
