  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

This is more of a test thread to make sure I can get on.

Yesterday, I purchased a 4.6 V8, Champagne. Will pick it up tomorrow. Expect to see a lot of questions from me. I will try to post my questions in seperate posts. Presently reading the owners manual, however there are a lot of things that I have not yet found in the manual, but will ask salesperson when I pick up car tomorrow.

Also learning how this BB works.

Congrats! I have the V6 in champagne, and love the color! Understated, classy, and just an overall nice-looking design.

I'm late, but - welcome aboard! Thank you for signing up and congratulations on your new Hyundai Genesis!

Not to put a damper on your excitement, but I'd strongly suggest you reconsider your purchase if you can or carefully drive the car they give you on some bad roads. The suspension problem is real and I'm not sure you can predict which car will have the most problems. My demo was accpetable, the one I bought is not.

lol, you serious???

Yes please... inquirying minds want to know...

From Rough Ride Rear:

I'm not in denial - it was obvious to me yesterday I clearly made a mistake purchasing this car. The demo I drove repeatedly was OK - not plush, but nothing like the nervous, jittery, porposing car I actually eneded with. Took to the dealer today. If there is no fix - or they deny the probelm the next conversation is how to return it.

I noticed the Sonata loaner they gave me has some of the same issues on the same strecth of roadway. Now it's nowhere near as bad - cause it's a firmer, better ride actually. It's like all the good and BAD qualities of the Sonata ride are magnified 10 times in my Genesis.

It's shame cause I love the car otherwise and this is not the conversation I wanted to be having after dropping 32k on a car. All the joy I had at my new Genny has disappeared.

Porposing? Porposing?????

No such thing with mine. If anything, the ride is slightly harsh, although I would rather go around corners and curves a little faster, but thats just me.

No porposing here.

Regardless, it is sad you had to hijack ctrcbob's new owner thread and turn it into your personal soapbox to further whine about your "mistake". Why not start (another) new thread or contribute (again) to the ongoing rough ride thread where you can cry to your hearts content instead of trying to takeover this thread.

You sir have certainly gone out of your way to get into every discussion with your suspension woes. I'm beginning to question your motives.

Believe as you chose. Enjoy your Genesis it's a wonderful car in many respects!
