  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just bought a 2015 5.0 Ultimate. I change cars every few years, but this is the first luxury car. I typically go for muscle cars (although my last car was a 2015 wrx Sti). I needed to get back into a V8 and after reading the reviews on this car and the steep discounts, I wanted to give it a try.

I do think I want to do some exhaust work; any ideas on who all has an exhaust for this car?

If I keep it for some time I'll probably do some wider wheels as well. That might be all (except for some K&N filters). I've gone crazy in the past (2004 cobra, 2010 Camaro 2ssRs) with mods, but I think I'll keep this tame :).

Anyway, I've had the car for a day and so far I love it. Like I said, just wish I could hear the exhaust a bit more ..

The only one I've come across is the Magnaflow 19116 for $1292.59.
More than I want to pay until I hear what it sounds like.

You should get it and record some sound clips and help me decide :D

And I love the sound, when it's open its obnoxious like my Shelby and when closed its silent. We seem to have similar taste. Welcome to the forum.

Nice. I had a 2012 and then a 2013 GT500 and loved them. I'm wanting to get into a GT350 ( if markups ever stop)

I like the silence

0-60 in 5 secs and you barely know the car is moving

850hp is fun. Gt350 is a much better car though. The chassis and suspension alone is a huge improvement over the old.

That's the beauty of cutouts. It's as quiet as stock but you can make it crazy loud with the flip of a switch

Congrats on the new ride and :welcome: aboard. The car learns how you drive. If you drive it like you stole it, at around 1500-2000 miles you will hear a significant change in the exhaust note. Nothing like Huddleston's but enough of a change that you will like it.

At first I was like it needs more sound but now I like the low volume. I think once I add the k&n filters it will add the extra engine sound I'm looking for.

please don't go with oiled filters for the car....

what would you recommend?

i agree with Huddleson.... AEM and a few others have non oiled filters but no one offers these for our cars yet...

Spectra makes a filter but they "coned" mainly for intakes... removing the boxes and adding a cone filter could produce some intake sound

I think there is a multitude of info on oiled vs non-oiled filters on this forum - search around and give it a read. I don't have the link handy or I'd refer you to it.

Yes, I would prefer a dry filter but since no one makes one except K&N for our cars I might have to consider them. Its a pretty sparse field out there.

I'm a little disappointed myself... almost 2 years with the 2nd Gen and hardly any aftermarket support..
