  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When adding a new address to the address book either by location on the map or adding through the prompted screen the new entry always seems to be added as AddressXXX where XXX is the next sequential number. I then have to go edit this entry to give it the actual name I want. Is there a way to assign the name on the first pass rather than have to add the entry and then go rename it? What am I missing?

My parents (in their 70's) bought a new 2013 Genesis V6 last week and we can't figure out how to edit the name of an address book entry. We've looked at the Nav book and the main owner's manual, and I've googled it. I spent about 20 minutes playing with it myself (I'm 47 so I'm not too bad with electronics) and I searched here but can't figure it out.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

What model do they have? If they have a touchscreen, like my Premium package model, they need to press the Setup button on the right edge of the screen while in Nav mode. If it's a Tech package car with a DIS controller on the console, I'm sure somebody else here will advise.

They have the touch screen and the Setup button. We figured it out.

Many thanks!
