  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The other day I was in the front, welding away with the Genesis parked on the street to keep it away from the grinding and welding mess.

The postwoman drove up, stopped and stared, and then went on her way. About ten minutes later she came back and hooted at me. I walked over to her and she said "I've been eyeing your new car for a few days and that's a beautiful Bently. I didn't know Bently made such beautiful cars".

When she found out it was a Hyundai, she said "I'm looking for a new car and have never seen anything quite like it. I'm gonna get me one of those... it is georgeous"!

She was even more impressed when we spoke of how it whooped BMW, Infinity and Lexus.

I had the same experience from a woman whose husband collects cars. She asked my wife how long I had the Bentley.

Ditto from the guy who owns the Greek restaurant near my office.

If they thought it was a Bently, they really need their eyes fixed. Perhaps they saw the Winged Emblem?

We have a guy in town who owns, and drives an Old Jaguar XJ (his everyday car, and probably has not been washed in 15 years), an Old Rolls (also not very clean) , and a Beautiful Black Bently. One day, I asked him what year was the Bently. It a 1998. Geez. That thing looks like it just came off the showroom floor yesterday. BEAUTIFUL.
