  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

need new shoes @ 30k, thinking about getting the Continental DWS. How much did you pay for a set? worth getting?

Mid-November - $1,050 including alignment ($79) & oil change ($55). Taxes included.

did you get them from tirerack? how is the tread wear so far?

Bought local after pricing Tirerack. Havent really looked at tread yet.

I got them for a little over $1000, including taxes. They are much superior to the Dunlops. Better traction in snow, and a much smoother ride on rough roads.

The ratings at TireRack.com have the Contis at or near the top in almost every category. The Dunlops are rated last or next to last in almost every category. It is hard to understand why Hyundai put such terrible tires on such a great car.

Come spring- I will get 4- pick up local at my TireRack warehouse (no shipping) and have TownFair Tire do the mount/balance.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
locally wants to charge 1100 for a set installed. Going with tirerack will cost around 900. Does it really worth it to get the free life time rotation?

It depends...'lifetime' for my driving habits tends to be about 3 years and since I go to the dealier for oil chages they include tire rotation for $39(w/ coupon which they send about two in the time between oil changes).

Regarding 'tirerack' or similar, I've never used them because it seemed like a hassle have them shipped and transporting them to the 'installer' and paying for mounting, balance, etc.

I think it really comes down to your preference.

Tirerack actually ships to many installers, so the consumer doesn't have to lug around wheels/tires. I've never ordered from tirerack because I can always find better pricing right in my city, but I use tireracks website for research.

I use for research as well...actually helps weed out the shops that are charging well over average retail. I find I can alway find better pricing as well...makes you wonder how tirerack and others stay in business?!

Bought four 235/50R18 Extreme Contact DWS from TireRack for Genesis v6 in Sept. 2011 for $758 plus installation. Shipped to local installer in Champaign, IL in two days and two days later had them on. My wife refused to drive it in snow when it had the Dunlops on. She now feels comfortable driving in snow with the DWS's. Quieter too.

I have a 2010 3.8 Genesis. It has 33,000 miles on it and and I am replacing today with the Continentals. Hopefully I will be as happy as everyone else!!!

unfrortuantely, I live in a small town and after calling most of the tires place; no one willing to price match or give a decent price. I guess it will be tire rack then.
