  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Thanks Sal!

The GV60 replaced a 2018 AMG E63S Wagon. The AMG Wagon was always a dream car and I finally had the chance to own one. We had planned to trade it in for a Lucid Air Touring and had been on the reservation list for a couple of years, but had to back out around the Holiday season last year (for a whole bunch of reasons that I won't get into unless anyone is really interested).

We have 3 young (ish) kids and already have a large SUV that is good for hauling the family wherever we need to go, so the AMG was demoted to "2nd car" status and was spending most of it's life pottering around Houston taking the kids to and from school.

Spotted this GV60 and it seemed like a better fit for "2nd car" duty. Once I drove it and realized that in Sport mode with Boost engaged its actually quicker than the AMG the deal was done.

Haven't seen any others in Houston yet, so getting a lot of interested looks from passers-by, but overall really impressed with the product and experience. Wary of the service experience, given what I read on these forums, but hopefully won't be much service required (although we are subject to the rear drive shaft recall. And having owned a Range Rover in the past, the bar of truly awful service is already pretty high in my book.

I do love those AMG vehicles. Especially the E63. I know you have a lot of fun with it. But, wow, it's nice to hear you've actually GAINED performance with the Genesis GV60! I was wondering when Genesis would come out with vehicles that could take on the likes of Mercedes AMG, BMW M, Audi RS, Cadillac V-Series - and here we are... That was quick...

I really do like the Lucid vehicles. The designs are so nice inside and out. I've heard a few people say they weren't too impressed after owning them, though... So I think it was a good thing you ended up with a Genesis. Service at some locations is great while some locations are having growing pains. I'm sure those places will come around soon... Glad to hear you've been through the Range Rover experience. Really nice SUVs but, well, you know... :p
