  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Was all ready to get a 3.8 Ultimate in Blue, but got a call from the dealer that a white, 5.0 demo with 5300 miles was available. Went in, tried it out and next thing I knew I was pulling out of the dealership getting to 60 mph in about 5 seconds or so. Traded in a 2009 V6 Genesis so really happy to stay in the family.

Beautiful car, but a few questions that I'm hoping some may help with. I've looked through the forums but yet to see the actual answers.

- The Genesis manual thread is great, but any updates on whether the 2015 DIS manual is actually available? I didn't get one with the car for some reason, but would rather have it online anyway.

- With Blue Link, should the Pandora App be preloaded? I went through the download app process and only a single app seems to be available. Any other apps that people have been able to download?

- one dislike that I'll add to the dislikes thread. I drive a lot of different cars as rentals as I travel a lot, and a really handy feature on some cars is when you approach the car with the key fob and pull on the door handle, it automatically unlocks. Really wish the Genesis had this capability

- other than that I love the HUD, love the ride, love the interior and I'm already getting a few stares. Just need to change the rear badge and I'm good to go!

Don't dislike it yet.

On mine at least - there is a button on the handle (on left and flush with the handle) which you push to unlock the car. That's how I almost always unlock the car.

With the fob, nearby, of course.

Note: page 3-12 manual

Welcome to the white 5.0 club.

be sure to post up some pics!

Welcome to the club and congrats but as others here know, Montecito Blue is the fastest. :D

Thanks. Have been using the button unlock for years, but in reality there should be no need to have to press the button if the key is in vicinity. Many other vehicles have that feature. Just a wish.

Pandora is available under Media but only when you have a device connected. Depending on what you have connected, there may be multiple items there. e.g. If I have my Android connected via Bluetooth and my kids' iPhone connected via USB, I see Pandora for both sources (as well as Aha).

Hope that helps.

:welcome: aboard dleather and congrats on your new ride. You can also get all the DIS manual information on your NAV system. Very user friendly.
